Well, it’s just not going to work out to do the recreation of my granddad’s route this summer.  A family medical issue has come up which is going to impact the trip.  Instead of compressing the time frame, my sisters and I have decided to just postpone the trip until next summer.   I hope to use the time to find historic hotels and activities to include in the trip.  I’ll also keep saving my hotel points – part of the trip will be – see how far my hotel points will take us on the trip.
